REVIEW: Daredevil: Guardian Devil

By Sarfaraz Hossain, Nostalgia Now customer & Daredevil fan

Written by (the!) Kevin Smith and illustrated by one of the most famous artists (in my opinion), Joe Quesada (Solar, Man of the Atom & Batman: Sword of Azreal), delves into Matt Murdock’s struggle between truth and faith.

A devout Catholic, Murdock has been subjugated by questionable actions from the man upstairs. Feeling a sense of loss in his love life and in his faith, his world is progressively feeling like spit in the wind. That is until someone new comes into his life and changes it forever.

There are very strong themes of light and dark and gives you everything you want out of a Daredevil story. Typical of a Smith comic, film or TV show, the novel is dialogue heavy and can sometimes distract from the illustrations.

Who can I recommend this book to? Any Daredevil, Spider-Man and Kingpin fans. Enjoy!
